George Kittle (calf) placed on 49ers injured reserve, out at least three games
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has been placed on injured reserve with a calf injury.
Even though the 49ers are on bye next week, this move to sideline Kittle means he will miss at least three games. The earliest the superstar tight end will be able to take the field is Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. Ross Dwelley will now be the de facto option at the position for rookie quarterback Trey Lance.
In 4 games this season, Kittle has 19 catches on 29 targets for 227 yards.
