Broncos' Teddy Bridgewater in concussion protocol
Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is in the league's concussion protocol.
Bridgewater did not return to the field after halftime during the Broncos' Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He will likely need to practice by at least Friday in order to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The entire Broncos offense will need to be downgraded for Week 5 if Bridgewater is out and Drew Lock is forced to start.
Among all quarterbacks with double-digit drop backs this season, Bridgewater is recording the seventh-most Passing Net Expected Points per drop back (0.30). Lock is third-worst (negative-0.32). The Steelers are No. 19 in the league in Passing NEP allowed per drop back and No. 21 in FanDuel points allowed per game to the quarterback position.
