Bears considering entire quarterback depth chart for Week 4
Chicago Bears quarterbacks Justin Fields, Andy Dalton (knee), and Nick Foles are under consideration to start in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, head coach Matt Nagy said.
Fields fell flat on his face in his first NFL start, as he completed 6-of-20 passes for 68 yards while rushing 3 times for 12 yards in the Bears' 26-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The rookie was sacked nine times and under constant pressure all day long. Nagy said Andy Dalton is week-to-week with a knee injury and Fields injured his hand late in Sunday's game, so Foles could be the only healthy option under center. The Bears have a much more advantageous matchup in Week 4 versus Detroit.
Fields finished last among all quarterbacks in Week 3 with negative-0.62 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back. Allen Robinson led the Bears with a 30.0% target share.
