Rapoport: Andy Dalton has knee bone bruise, Week 3 status for Bears TBD
Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton has a bone bruise in his knee, an MRI confirmed, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Dalton appears to have avoided a serious injury, but his status for Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns hasn't been determined. Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Dalton will remain the starter over rookie Justin Fields if he's healthy. The veteran quarterback completed 9-of-11 attempts for 56 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 before exiting. Fields completed 6-of-13 passes for 60 yards and an interception, and he added 31 rushing yards.
Dalton finished with 8.7 FanDuel points in Week 2. The Browns are allowing the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to the quarterback position this season.
