Washington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will miss several weeks with a hip subluxation, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Fitzpatrick will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury and it's possible he winds up missing the remainder of the season. Taylor Heinicke completed 11-of-15 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown after replacing Fitzpatrick in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Washington will take on the New York Giants in Week 2 this Thursday night.
Fitzpatrick completed 3-of-6 passes for 13 yards in Week 1 before exiting and he targeted running backs on more than half his attempts while Terry McLaurin wasn't targeted once. Heinicke targeted McLaurin on 26.7 percent of his attempts.
