Gio Bernard (ankle) officially active for Buccaneers Week 1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Gio Bernard will play Thursday night in the team's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite suffering a "mild" ankle sprain a week ago, the veteran will be out there in full force in the 2021 NFL Kickoff game. Look for Bernard to serve as a pass-catching option on 3rd Downs for the Bucs, as Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones Jr. should see the vast majority of early-down work.
Our models currently project Bernard for 15.8 rushing yards, 11.1 receiving yards, 0.2 total touchdowns and 4.8 FanDuel points.
