Bears ink RFA Josh Hill to offer sheet

The Chicago Bears signed restricted free agent tight end Josh Hill to a three-year offer sheet.

What It Means:

The New Orleans Saints will now have five days to match the offer sheet. Since it was tendered at the undrafted level, the Saints could lose Hill for no compensation if they choose not to match the offer. The Bears signed Zach Miller to a contract earlier in free agency, but after trading Martellus Bennett, Chicago is in need of some depth at tight end.

Hill had a Net Expected Points per target of 0.39, which ranked him 43rd among tight ends with at least 30 targets in 2015. Hill found pay dirt twice last season in New Orleans, both in overtime games.
