What It Means:

Speaking to Meghan Payton about Michael Thomas during Saturday's pregame, Payton said "He had a recheck last week, he’s ahead of schedule. He’s gonna be a big part of what we do, and hopefully the sooner, the better with his recovery." While Thomas' return is still at least a month and a half away, this is a positive development for his eventual availability. Barring a setback, Thomas is expected to be available for New Orleans in late October and will rejoin an offense severally lacking in wide receiver options.

Assuming a return in Week 6, numberFire's models project Thomas for 71.2 receptions on 104.4 targets this season for 875.4 yards and 5.16 touchdowns. He is the WR46 in our preseason fantasy projections.
