Rams appear 'all-in' on Darrell Henderson
The Los Angeles Rams appear "all-in" on running back Darrell Henderson, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
What It Means:
Henderson is in line for the lead role following Cam Akers' season-ending Achilles injury. Rams head coach Sean McVay said he's holding Henderson out during the preseason to keep him fresh for Week 1. Fowler also said to "remember the name" Jake Funk, a seventh-round rookie out of Maryland, and that the Rams are bullish on Xavier Jones. Per Fantasy Football Calculator, Henderson's ADP is 5.03 as the RB26.
Henderson is currently the RB17 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings and our models expect him to record 298.8 carries, 1,259.7 rushing yards, 36.3 receptions (49.0 targets), 291.2 receiving yards, and 11.99 touchdowns. Among the 76 running backs with at least 50 carries last season, Henderson ranked 27th in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
