Rashod Bateman week-to-week for Ravens with groin injury
Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman is "at the very least" week-to-week with a groin injury, reports Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Bateman suffered the injury during Tuesday's practice and it's currently too early to know whether the first-round pick will be ready for the season opener. Bateman has a chance to emerge as the Raven's WR1 in his rookie season as long as he can stay healthy, albeit on the least pass-friendly team in the NFL. If the groin issue winds up lasting into the regular season, it could lead to more looks for the likes of Marquise Brown, Sammy Watkins, and Mark Andrews.
Bateman is currently the WR63 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings and our models project him for 58.9 receptions, 91.5 targets, 707.9 yards, and 4.89 touchdowns this season.
