Titans believe Antwon Blake can be starting cornerback
Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson said newly-signed cornerback Antwon Blake will compete for a starting job.
"I think he's primarily an outside corner," Robinson said. "He's tough, he's physical, he's fast. He will be an impact player for us, we think, in the kicking game. And then compete for an outside spot." Perrish Cox was solid last year, but the Titans are obviously looking for an upgrade opposite Jason McCourty. One of the worst corners in the league last season, Blake is not that upgrade. He should settle into a reserve role.
The Tennessee defense was mediocre last year, coming in at 18th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points.
