Free agent Montee Ball facing more abuse allegations
Free agent running back Montee Ball was charged with strangulation, battery and disorderly conduct Thursday in connection with an alleged incident at a Madison, Wisconsin hotel in June 2014.
What It Means:
Ball's ex-girlfriend alleges he hit her with a phone and grabbed her throat before throwing her out of the room. The New England Patriots waived Ball last month after he was arrested for allegedly throwing his girlfriend into a table. Ineffective on the field and facing two abuse cases off it, it would be surprising if Ball ever plays another down in the NFL.
On 174 career rushing attempts, Ball has achieved -4.43 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP), for a mediocre -0.03 Rushing NEP per attempt in his career.
