Dolphins lift DeVante Parker off of PUP list
The Miami Dolphins have taken wide receiver DeVante Parker off of the PUP list.
Parker started this training camp on the PUP list, but has already been promoted to the active roster with weeks to go before the regular season. Assuming Parker remains healthy during the offseason, he would seem to be a sure bet to be a starting receiver for the Dolphins despite their suddenly-stacked pass-catching corps (following the signing of veteran Will Fuller and the drafting of Jaylen Waddle in the first round of this year's draft).
2021 will be the first real season in which Parker has had legitimate competition for targets, but as an established receiver in the league we still project him for 72.6 receptions on 122.6 targets, with 836 receiving yards and 5.8 scores. If second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa can meet expectations following his relatively disappointing rookie year, Parker and his fellow pass-catchers could be in for big seasons.
