Washington brings back Junior Galette on one-year deal
The Washington Redskins re-signed outside linebacker Junior Galette to a one-year contract.
The deal is worth up to $4 million. Galette was unlikely to leave as the Redskins had the right to match any offer. He reportedly didn't much interest after missing all of last season with a torn Achilles'. If healthy, Galette can provide a big spark opposite Ryan Kerrigan. He'll turn 28 later this month, but he was a good pass rusher from 2013-'14 with the New Orleans Saints, totaling 22 sacks across two seasons.
Washington ranked 17th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play in 2015.
