Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones "looks incredible right now"
Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield told reporters that second-year wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones "looks incredible right now."
Peoples-Jones, a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, flashed moments of true NFL potential in his rookie season. While the Browns will be excited for the return of Odell Beckham Jr. (torn ACL), Peoples-Jones could still challenge for the WR3 role in an exciting offense this season.
Peoples-Jones enjoyed a stretch of 3 games in 2020 where he played over 50% of the team's offensive snaps, during which time he converted 11 targets into 8 catches for 221 yards and a touchdown. He could be primed for a modest breakout in 2021 if he can supplant Rishard Higgins on the depth chart.
