Rod Streater signs $4.8 million deal with Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Rod Streater, formerly of the Oakland Raiders, to a one-year deal "worth up to" $4.8 million.
Streater took visits with the New England Patriots and New York Jets, but his best shot at a roster spot was with the Chiefs. A seemingly ascending receiver before spending all of 2015 as a healthy scratch, Streater has a good shot to crack Kansas City's thin receiver corps.
Streater received 13 targets in 2014, accruing 8.82 Reception Net Expected Points (0.68 per-play).
