Falcons reunite with linebacker Sean Weatherspoon
The Atlanta Falcons signed inside linebacker Sean Weatherspoon to a one-year contract.
It's a reunion as Weatherspoon is returning to the team which made him the No. 19 overall pick of the 2010 draft. Weatherspoon was a sideline-to-sideline playmaker his first few years in the league, but he has been ravaged by injuries.
He's made just 21 appearances since 2012. He appeared in 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals last season but played only 159 snaps. Although the Falcons have a weak linebacker corps, Weatherspoon should be returning as a reserve.
