Giants boost pass rush, get Olivier Vernon
The New York Giants signed defensive end Olivier Vernon, formerly of the Miami Dolphins.
What It Means:
The Giants desperately needed to address their defense, and they've done so in a big way today. In addition to landing Vernon, New York also signed corner Janoris Jenkins. Those two should help a defense which finished 25th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
Vernon had a strong 2015 campaign with 61 total tackles and 7.5 sacks. He's a top-tier defensive lineman in Individual Defensive Player (IDP) fantasy formats. He'll make an immediate impact wherever he goes.
