Eagles have reached out to Nigel Bradham

The Philadelphia Eagles have "reached out" to Buffalo Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane reports.

What It Means:

Bradham regressed last season under Rex Ryan, but he excelled under Eagles' defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz while the pair were in Buffalo two seasons ago. With Kiko Alonso reportedly headed to the Miami Dolphins via a trade, the Eagles could offer Bradham a starting spot. He should not cost more than $5 million per year.

The Eagles had a solid pass defense in 2015, finishing at 13th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. They will look to greatly improve against the rush, however, after finishing 29th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. In 2014, with Schwartz, Bradham topped 100 tackles with 2.5 sacks and 7 passes defended.
