Tree agent defensive end Charles Johnson will visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after meeting with the New York Giants on Sunday.
Johnson has been a busy man since the Carolina Panthers released him on Thursday. Aside from defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and run-stopping defensive end William Gholston, the Bucs' defensive line wasn't anything special last season. Johnson recorded just one sack in 2015 while missing almost half the year with a hamstring injury.
Johnson was a part of Carolina's -35.60 Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points in 2015, which ranked second in the league. He played only nine games in 2015, totaling 12 tackles and 1.0 sack.
