Browns' Armonty Bryant suspended four games for PED use

Cleveland Browns outside linebacker Armonty Bryant was suspended for four games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

What It Means:

A bad offseason just got worse for Bryant, who was recently indicted on felony drug possession charges following his arrest on Christmas morning. Bryant has a history of off-field incidents and new head coach Hue Jackson is invoking a zero tolerance policy in the wake of last year's drama with quarterback Johnny Manziel. It's unclear what the future holds for Bryant in Cleveland.

The 2014 Browns ranked 6th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) and 25th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP as a unit. They nose-dived in 2015, however, ranking 21st and 32nd in these metrics, respectively.
