Washington expected to pursue George Iloka in free agency

Cincinnati Bengals safety George Iloka, an impending free agent, could be a target for the Washington Redskins, CSN Mid-Atlantic believes.

What It Means:

Washington's safety play in 2015 was underwhelming to say the least. Veteran Dashon Goldson was an unmitigated disaster while Duke Ihenacho missed most of the year with a fractured wrist. Beat writer Tarik El-Bashir sees Iloka as a strong fit. The 25-year-old earned high marks from Pro Football Focus last season, particularly in coverage. If Iloka's price is too high, the Redskins could always address safety in the draft.

In 12 games played in 2015, Iloka racked up 47 combined tackles, an interception and four passes defended. Washington's defense ranked 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play this year.
