Eagles elevate Jordan Howard from practice squad

The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated running back Jordan Howard from the practice squad ahead of the team's Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

What It Means:

Howard has spent time in the past as the Eagles' lead back, but has bounced between the active roster and the practice squad for the team this year after spending a few weeks with the Miami Dolphins. He could see touches behind Miles Sanders in Week 16 but shouldn't be much of a threat to Sanders' fantasy value.

Sanders handled 100% of the Eagles' running back touches in Week 15 for the first time, so the Eagles may just be looking for an experienced back to spell Sanders down the stretch. He handled just 4 touches in his previous appearance for the team back in Week 13.
