Saints' linebacker Kwon Alexander suffers torn Achilles tendon
New Orleans Saints linebacker Kwon Alexander suffered a torn Achilles tendon injury during Friday's victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
Alexander was very quickly ruled out of Friday's game, and was later confirmed to have suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon injury. Alexander, who joined the Saints partway through the 2020 season, had been enjoying his highest-graded season since 2017 according to PFF's player grades.
Alexander has been a near-every-down player for the Saints, so his loss will surely be felt by the Saints' defense. The Saints are currently tied for the third-fewest yards per play allowed in the league.
