Buccaneers activate Donovan Smith (COVID-19)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated starting left tackle Donovan Smith from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
What It Means:
Smith is set to return for Saturday's Week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions after missing a game. Tom Brady threw for a season-high 390 passing yards without Smith, but the offense generated just 51 rushing yards. Per numberFire's NFL Heat Map, the Buccaneers have an implied total of 31.5 points in Week 16.
Smith has earned the No. 40 overall grade from Pro Football Focus this season among 100 offensive tackles with at least 100 snaps. He is No. 51 in pass-blocking and No. 27 in run-blocking.
