Eagles activate Jordan Howard off of practice squad

The Philadelphia Eagles promoted running back Jordan Howard from their practice squad to their active roster for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

What It Means:

Howard played in 5 games for the Miami Dolphins this season, operating almost exclusively as their goal-line back before the team waived him. The fifth-year veteran spent the 2019 season with the Eagles and is no stranger to their system.

It's unclear how Howard's presence will affect Miles Sanders in this week's game. Howard led the way for the Eagles in 2019 before suffering a shoulder injury and inevitably losing his job to Sanders, but Sanders has dealt with injuries himself this season and has ceded significant touches to Boston Scott throughout the year.
