Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire quiet in win over Buccaneers
Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn't have much going in the team's 27-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Patrick Mahomes was dominant, throwing for huge scores left and right early on against Tom Brady's Bucs. But despite getting out to a big lead and maintaining it, it didn't lead to a big performance from Edwards-Helaire. The rookie back from LSU received 11 of the backfield's 16 carries - Le'Veon Bell had 5 - but he gained just 37 yards on them. He also received just 1 target on the day, hauling in a 2-yard catch. It was a disappointing performance for Edwards-Helaire given the positive game script, but perhaps things will be better going forward against a more lenient defense.
With 4.4 FanDuel points, Edwards-Helaire currently ranks 38th among all Week 12 rushers. Right now, our models project him for 12.67 next week against the Denver Broncos.
