Colts' Nyheim Hines sees 18 touches in loss to Titans

Indianapolis Colts running back Nyheim Hines received a big workload Sunday in the team's 45-26 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

What It Means:

With Jonathan Taylor sidelined after being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, it was a big question entering the weekend how the Colts would decide to split the backfield duties. And the answer was a full Nyheim Hines showcase. The veteran rusher had 10 carries compared to Jordan Wilkins' 6, though he gained just 29 yards in the process. But as always, Hines' talents were best suited to the passing attack. He hauled in 8 of his 10 targets for 66 yards, continuing to serve as Philip Rivers' favorite safety valve. Perhaps Hines' dominating snap share was dependent on game script - the Colts were down big early and the deficit got progressively worse - but either way, Hines seems to be the best option should Taylor remain on the shelf.

With 13.5 FanDuel points, Hines is currently ranked 15th among all Week 12 rushers. Right now, our models project him for 9.84 next week against the Houston Texans.
