Tampa Bay's Ronald Jones catches long touchdown in loss to Chiefs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones scored in the team's 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

What It Means:

The Bucs were punched in the mouth early on, as they faced a 17-0 first quarter deficit and trailed 27-10 entering the fourth. As a result, volume wasn't there for Jones - the team opted to pass for the vast majority of the game. Still, Jones found a way to produce, as he turned his 9 carries into a 66 yards for a stellar 7.3 per attempt. But the best play of his day came in the second quarter, when he hauled in a Tom Brady pass for a 37-yard touchdown. The game script didn't go in Jones' favor, but he's continuing to solidify himself as the unquestioned lead back, meaning he'll get as much work as possible week in and week out.

With 16.8 FanDuel points, Jones currently ranks 9th among all Week 12 rushers. The Bucs are on a bye next week before a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
