Myles Gaskin (knee) active at Dolphins practice

Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin (knee, injured reserve) returned to practice Wednesday.

What It Means:

The Dolphins now have 21 days to activate Gaskin back to the active roster. He missed the last three games and may not be cleared right away for Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the New York Jets. Gaskin was handling 20-plus touches a game as the Dolphins' three-down back before landing on injured reserve. It's unclear whether Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) will remain involved once Gaskin is cleared.

Gaskin averaged 21.3 touches and 14.7 FanDuel points in his last three games. He ranks 68th in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry out of 78 backs with at least 25 carries this season while Ahmed ranks 47th, so the Dolphins may opt to go with more of a two-man approach. The Jets have the second-worst pass defense in numberFire's efficiency rankings but they rank in the top-10 against the run.
