Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (groin) is expected to play in the team's Week 11 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
What It Means:
The Vikings haven't emphasized their tight ends much in the passing game in 2020, preferring instead to run their aerial attack through Adam Theilen and standout rookie Justin Jefferson. However, Smith Jr. has flashed upside as a receiver in his limited opportunities this season; he scored twice in last week's win over the Detroit Lions and had back-to-back games with 4 receptions and over 50 receiving yards in Weeks 5 and 6.
