Chiefs' Sammy Watkins (hamstring) now dealing with calf issue too
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins was downgraded to a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to hamstring and calf injuries.
Watkins was previously only said to be dealing with a hamstring injury, so it's possible he picked up the calf issue during practice. His status for Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night is now uncertain after James Palmer of NFL Network previously reported Watkins was expected to return. DeMarcus Robinson could be in line for an expanded role if Watkins remains out and Mecole Hardman (COVID-19) isn't cleared.
Watkins is currently the WR48 in numberFire's Week 11 fantasy rankings and has a salary of $5,700 on FanDuel's main slate. Our models project him for 5.3 targets versus a Raiders team that ranks 22nd in our pass defense efficiency metric.
