Seahawks coach Pete Caroll thinks running back Carlos Hyde (hamstring) will play in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night.
Hyde was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate for Thursday's contest. Carroll's injury analysis should always be taken with a grain of salt, but he indicated that Chris Carson (foot) may still be at least another week away, potentially setting Hyde up for a three-down role. Hyde rushed 15 times for 68 yards with a touchdown and drew 4 targets as the Seahawks' lead back in Week 7 prior to being sidelined. His return could knock Alex Collins, Travis Homer, or DeeJay Dallas out of the backfield entirely.
Hyde is averaging the second-most yards per attempt (4.0) but just second-fewest after contact per attempt (1.9) in the Seahawks backfield. He is averaging the 19th-fewest yards per touch (4.3) among any player in the league with at least 35 touches this season.
