Bills confirm John Brown 'tweaked ankle' Sunday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver John Brown "tweaked his ankle" in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, head coach Sean McDermott confirmed.

What It Means:

McDermott said the Bills will evaluate Brown throughout their bye week and see how he feels heading into a Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Brown caught 6 passes on 8 targets for 72 yards before leaving Sunday, giving him 19 targets in just over seven healthy quarters of action over the past two weeks. Cole Beasley then racked up 6 targets in the fourth quarter alone and caught them all for 51 yards. He seems like the primary beneficiary if Brown is still hobbled after the Bills' bye.

Beasley has averaged 15.1 FanDuel points in the four games that Brown wasn't healthy for this season. He leads all Bills receivers with 9.9 yards per target while Brown is fourth (8.6). Beasley is 20th in yards per route run among the 138 receivers with at least 10 targets this season, per Pro Football Focus.
