Pats' Julian Edelman (knee) "moving well" after surgery

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee) has been "moving well" in on-field work following his recent precautionary knee procedure.

What It Means:

Edelman's knee injury earlier this season had the quiet, foreboding appearance of a career-ender, but the 34-year-old veteran is already working through on-field drills and appears to be on the mend. He's eligible to come off of the injured reserve as early as the team's Week 11 game against the Houston Texans.

The Patriots had one of the weaker receiver groups in the league even before Edelman took a trip to the injured reserve, so his return should be a welcome one. In his absence, Jakobi Meyers appears to have capitalized on the Pats' wide-open depth chart. Meyers is projected to score 7.3 fantasy points this week and has a $5,400 salary on FanDuel.
