Troymaine Pope (concussion) questionable for Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Troymaine Pope (concussion) is questionable for Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Pope should be able to get back out there after turning in a full week of practice. He will likely join a three-man committee with Joshua Kelley and Kalen Ballage since Justin Jackson (knee) is out. Chargers offensive coordinator Shane Steichen said the "flow of the game" will determine the backfield rotation versus the Dolphins. Pope rushed 10 times for 67 yards and caught 5 passes on 7 targets for 28 yards in Week 8 before missing last week's game with a concussion.
Pope owns the best rushing grade (77.0) from Pro Football Focus among Chargers running backs not named Austin Ekeler. The Dolphins have a bit of a run funnel defense as they fare much better against the pass (1st) than the run (17th), according to numberFire's advanced team rankings.
