Golden Tate injures knee at practice, Giants 'optimistic' for Sunday

New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate is practicing Friday after injuring his knee during Thursday's practice.

What It Means:

Giants head coach Joe Judge said he's "optimistic" Tate will be able to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tate, who was held out by the Giants last week due to disciplinary reasons, has only 4 catches on 6 targets the last three games. His 4.2 targets per game for the season are the lowest since Tate's second year in the league back in 2011 with the Seattle Seahawks.

Tate is averaging 6.6 FanDuel points per game this season and fewer yards per route run (1.2) than Sterling Shepard (1.7) and Darius Slayton (1.5). He has a salary of $5,300 on FanDuel's main slate and our models project him for 4.4 targets. The Eagles are allowing the fourth-fewest yards per game to the wide receiver position this season.
