Bears place David Montgomery in NFL's concussion protocol
Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol.
Montgomery was knocked out of Sunday's game after suffering a blow to the head, and now we know that was a concussion as feared. Without their workhorse in the game, the Bears relied on the duo of Cordarrelle Patterson and Ryan Nall in the backfield. Should Montgomery miss any time going forward, that would ostensibly be the situation once again, though the Bears could also opt to call up Lamar Miller from the practice squad.
As of now, our models project Montgomery for 72.40 rushing yards, 17.32 receiving yards, 0.57 total touchdowns and 13.55 FanDuel points.
