Josh Jacobs out-gained by teammate in Raiders win
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs rushed 14 times for 65 yards and 1 touchdown in a 31-26, Week 9 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jacobs also caught a three-yard pass. He played more than twice as many snaps as and out-carried Devontae Booker 14-8, but he was out-gained by his backup 68-65. Jacobs was playing through a knee problem and illness, so it's possible the Raiders were managing his reps after he handled a season-high 31 carries last week. The second-year back has also now been targeted once in back-to-back games after averaging 4.0 targets over the first six contests. Jacobs is still recording 22.5 touches per game for the season and should be closer to that workload in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos if he's healthier.
Jacobs scored 13.3 FanDuel points in Week 9 and is averaging 14.4 per game for the season (RB12). The Broncos currently have the 11th-best rushing defense, per numberFire's advanced team rankings.
