Emmanuel Sanders (COVID-19) active for Saints
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (COVID-19) returned to practice on Wednesday.
It seems like Sanders is going to play Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending the past two games on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He racked up 23 targets and 215 yards in his last two games but Michael Thomas' (hamstring, ankle) likely return will cut into Sanders' volume. Marquez Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith also figure to lose snaps now that the Saints' receiving core is returning to full strength.
Sanders has the highest average depth of target (9.9 yards) on the Saints. The Buccaneers' pass defense is No. 5 in numberFire's advanced team rankings. They are allowing the ninth-fewest FanDuel points per game (27.0) to the wide receiver position.
