Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper is not expected to play Sunday in the team's Week 8 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Hooper is a week removed from an appendectomy, and with the Browns going on bye in Week 9, the team is likely going to hold him back so as to avoid re-injury. Harrison Bryant and David Njoku will lead the way for the tight ends group if and when Hooper is sidelined.
Las Vegas has been putrid against the air, ranking 30th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per pass play.
