John Brown (knee) returning to Bills practice
Buffalo Bills wide receiver John Brown (knee) will practice on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott said.
Brown is on track to play Week 8 against the New England Patriots on Sunday after sitting out last game. Gabriel Davis saw an uptick in snaps without Brown available. Brown averaged 76.0 yards over the first two weeks before getting banged up in Week 3. He has gained at least 20 yards on 14.3 percent of his receptions (2-of-14) this season after going for 20-plus on 23.6 percent (17-of-72) last season. Brown could add to that total on Sunday versus a Patriots team allowing the fourth-most yards per pass attempt (8.1) in the league.
Brown owns a 16.0 percent target share this season and is averaging 5.4 targets per game. The Patriots have the No. 6 pass defense in numberFire's advanced team rankings but are allowing the fourth-highest rate of explosive pass plays this season, per Sharp Football Stats.
