Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant joins Ravens practice squad

The Baltimore Ravens are signing wide receiver Dez Bryant to their practice squad, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

What It Means:

The last time Bryant played was in 2017 and he has been out of the league since tearing his Achilles' tendon in 2018 right after signing with the New Orleans Saints. Bryant, who turns 32 next week, could potentially take snaps away from Devin Duvernay and Miles Boykin, but there isn't much volume to go around in the Ravens' run-centric offense.

Dez had 69 catches for 838 yards and 6 touchdowns on 132 targets in 2017 when he last played. He averaged 6.7 yards per target with an average depth of 12.2 yards that season. The Ravens' pass offense is currently No. 22 in numberFire's advanced team rankings and they throw the ball at a lower rate (49.9 percent) than any team in the league.
