Giants' Sterling Shepard (toe) could potentially play in Week 7 Thursday
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard has a chance of suiting up on Thursday night in the team's Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Shepard has been on injured reserve since Week 3 with a toe injury, and he remains on the list as of Wednesday night. However, the team has until 4 p.m. on game day to decide whether to bring him up to the active roster, so that could potentially happen. If he does return, he'd likely slot in behind Darius Slayton as the No. 2 receiver with Golden Tate being demoted.
Philadelphia's secondary has been subpar through 6 weeks, ranking 27th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per pass play.
