Miles Sanders (knee) officially out for Eagles versus Giants
Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (knee) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the New York Giants on Thursday night.
Sanders was never expected to play after injuring his knee this past weekend. The Eagles could wind up holding Sanders out through their Week 9 bye to allow him to fully heal. Boston Scott will start in place of Sanders on Thursday and Corey Clement will be an involved backup. Scott gained 54 offensive yards on 11 touches in Week 1 with Sanders unavailable.
numberFire's models project Scott for 16.1 touches with 10.8 FanDuel points and Clement for 9.2 touches with 6.8 FanDuel points versus the Giants. Scott is the RB26 in our Week 7 fantasy rankings and has a salary of $6,500 on Thursday's slate, making him the best available value in our projections. Clement is the RB36 and has a Thursday salary of $5,000, making him the second-best value on the single-game slate.
