Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has "complete faith" in Mike Williams' ability to win in one-on-one coverage.
"Anytime you see Mike Williams on the sideline, with one-on-one coverage," Herbert said. "I know that I am going to go to him. He is one of the best in the game. I have complete faith in him. I know he is going to make a play on any ball I throw up into the air." That connection was on display before the Chargers' bye when Herbert hit Williams for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns on 5 catches (8 targets), including a 64-yard score. The rookie slinger should have no problem airing it out again in Week 7 against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that is allowing the most yards per pass attempt (8.5) in the league. Herbert leads the league in 50-yard touchdown passes (3).
Herbert is the QB9 in numberFire's Week 7 fantasy rankings and our models project him for 20.1 FanDuel points with a $7,500 salary. The Jaguars are allowing 20.8 FanDuel points per game to opposing quarterbacks and rank 26th against explosive pass plays, per Sharp Football Stats.
