Alvin Kamara clears century mark for New Orleans again

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara rushed 11 times for 45 yards and caught 8 passes on 10 targets for 74 yards in a 30-27, Week 5 overtime win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday.

What It Means:

Kamara was held to his lowest rushing total since the season-opener and it was the first time this season he failed to find the end zone. However, the dynamic back still managed to clear 100 scrimmage yards for a fourth straight game while remaining heavily involved as a pass-catcher. Kamara is actually averaging more receiving (79.0) than rushing yards (56.2) per game and he's drawn the 10th-most targets (45) in the league through Monday's action. His target share could take a slight hit with Michael Thomas (ankle, disciplinary) expected back after the Saints' Week 6 bye, but Kamara will remain an elite fantasy option for the rest of the season. He will get to face a Carolina Panthers defense in Week 7 that just allowed Todd Gurley to record his first 100-yard rushing day since December 2018.

Kamara had his worst fantasy performance of the season on Monday with 15.9 FanDuel points, but he's still the RB1 overall at 25.7 FanDuel points per game.
