Gruden: Jaguars 'love to get' James Robinson more touches in third and fourth quarter

According to offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, the Jacksonville Jaguars want to keep running back James Robinson involved in the second half.

What It Means:

After producing 446 scrimmage yards through four games, the Jaguars want Robinson more involved if their game script remains ideal. "That's the goal. We have to put ourselves in that position," said Gruden when asked about his running back's role. "That means we have to start faster, finish some drives, and keep the game in reach where we can use him for 60 minutes, not just 25 or 30, so we're excited to see that. He's done nothing but impress us in every way, shape, or form, so I'd love to get him some more touches and those will come in the third and fourth quarter."

With an upcoming matchup against a weak Houston defense, Robinson should be in line for a heavy workload. Our models currently project the Jaguars' rookie to produce 89.9 scrimmage yards on 18.3 touches against numberFire's 26th rated run defense.
