Schefter: Browns' Nick Chubb (knee) placed on IR, expected to miss about 6 weeks

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is expected to miss about six weeks with his knee injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

Chubb is being placed on injured reserve with an MCL injury, a big blow to a Browns team that is driven in large part by its rushing attack. This injury vaults Kareem Hunt into firm RB1 status going forward until Chubb returns, and either D'Ernest Johnson or Dontrell Hilliard figures to slot into the No. 2 role that had previously been filled by Hunt. Johnson had first crack against Dallas Sunday, taking 13 carries for 95 yards.

In 4 games this season, Chubb had 57 carries for 335 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also had 3 catches for 17 yards.
