Patriots' Sony Michel (quad) ruled out for Week 4 against Kansas City
New England Patriots running back Sony Michel will not play Monday night in the team's Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The two teams are making up their game after it was postponed Sunday due to COVID-19. Michel didn't seem limited whatsoever in the team's win over the Las Vegas Raiders when he rumbled for a team-high 117 yards on the ground, but he was on the injury report all week with a quad injury that left him questionable coming into the weekend. Perhaps the Patriots are taking precaution with Michel's thigh given that the outlook for this game is bleak without Cam Newton against Patrick Mahomes and Co. It certainly helps that James White is set to play his first game since the season opener. Rex Burkhead could see another big day as the main option between the tackles.
The Patriots are up against a Chiefs run defense that has been exposed through three games, ranking 29th in the NFL entering the week in adjusted net expected points allowed per rush.
